The LED headlight marketplace continues to get more and more competitive, with some impressive newcomers. This competition has also driven existing manufacturers to improve their products. We’re seeing brighter LED headlights with a more focused beam, which is great for us as consumers.
LEDs represent light-emitting diodes. Unlike halogen bulbs, there is no current through the filament of the LED. Instead, the LED transmits current through the semiconductor. This movement of electrons produces light. One advantage of this form of light generation is that by adjusting the material properties of the semiconductor. It can adjust the frequency of the emitted light to change its color.
